DTW Destination Pass

At Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), you don’t need to book a trip to travel through our terminals. Our DTW Destination Pass program allows non-ticketed visitors to surprise arriving travelers at their gates, spend extra time with loved ones who are departing, as well as enjoy our restaurants and shops.

Explore our shopping and dining options available at each terminal.

The DTW Destination Pass program is fully automated at both the McNamara and Evans terminals. Those wishing to enroll can apply at one of our kiosks on the Departures Level in the terminals and utilize their pass on the same day.

The DTW Destination Pass is available for use from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. any day of the week at both the McNamara and Evans terminals.

Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Application and Check-in Process

Apply for a DTW Destination Pass on the day of your visit by visiting our kiosks in either the McNamara or Evans terminals on the Departures Level.

Scan your U.S. government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) at the Destination Pass Kiosk. Once cleared, a pass will be printed out for you to submit for TSA passenger screening.

Those participating in the DTW Destination Pass program are subject to the same security screening regulations as passengers boarding a plane. All items prohibited in carry-on baggage, including liquids, aerosols and gels, apply to everyone using the DTW Destination Pass for access. Please review the list of TSA prohibited items.

The TSA or Wayne County Airport Authority reserves the right to revoke the DTW Destination Pass from any individual who may pose a security risk, a risk to any passengers or customers, and/or violates any of the rules and regulations of the airport. The DTW Destination Pass access is approved for personal use only; commercial or professional use is expressly forbidden and will result in revocation of your program access.
