DETROIT (Dec. 1, 2017) – Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is inviting the community to attend a Dec. 7 public information meeting to learn about the 2019 reconstruction of Runway 3L-21R and its associated taxiways.

Attendees will gain a better understanding of the project by viewing informative displays and speaking with airport staff members and their design team. Reconstruction of Runway 3L-21R and the surrounding taxiways is necessary because they are approaching the end of their useful life.

“We are conducting this informational session because we want to make sure our neighbors are aware of major construction projects at Detroit Metropolitan Airport,” said Airport Authority CEO Joseph Nardone.

The project is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2019 and wrap up by winter 2020.
