The Wayne County Airport Authority, which operates Detroit Metro Airport, Willow Run Airport, and Crosswinds Marsh, is hiring for the position of Police Officer. Our police department operates seven days a week, 365 days a year. We conduct foot and mobile patrol, respond to calls for service, conduct traffic management and enforcement, enforce state and local laws, work with many other law enforcement agencies, and assist in many security objectives relevant to a large international airport that welcomes nearly 30,000,000 passengers annually. The Police Cadet position is designed to provide an entry-level job opportunity to candidates interested in serving the public. No prior experience or specialized training is required. Future career opportunity may include sponsorship to a police academy and transition to the role of a WCAA Police Officer.
