Let's Find What You're Looking For

Lost items may be turned into a number of airport offices, depending on where the item was left. This can sometimes make it tricky to locate your lost item if you can't remember where it was misplaced.

Here are some guidelines for locating a lost item in the most common locations:

Security Checkpoints: If you suspect your item was left at a Detroit TSA security checkpoint, you can contact the TSA Lost & Found at (734) 942-3126 or by email at [email protected]. TSA only collects items left at security checkpoints. The TSA Lost & Found office is located in the Edward H. McNamara Terminal near the gate level TSA checkpoint. Please follow the directional signage to room T3-037.
Aircraft or Gate: Check directly with your airline if your item was left on an aircraft or in a gate area. Your airline is also responsible for locating lost baggage.
Airport Police: If your item is lost elsewhere in the terminal, please file a lost & found claim with WCAA Police. If you need further instructions, please call (734) 942-3669.
If you are no longer at the airport and/or have lost an item on an aircraft or in a gate area with a luggage tag attached, check with your airline.
Found Property: To report an item you've found, please call the Wayne County Airport Authority Police Department at (734) 942-2222, Ext. 1.
