Gates & Boarding

Find Your Gate

The gate number for your flight is typically on your boarding pass. If no number is specified, check the airport monitors throughout the airport. Keep in mind that gate numbers can change, so it's important to periodically check the monitors for the most up-to-date information.

Wait To Board

While you're waiting, listen for boarding announcements and keep track of your flight's status. Be ready to have your boarding pass on hand to present at the gate. For domestic flights, boarding typically begins 30 minutes before the flight is scheduled to leave; international flights may begin a bit earlier.

Most gate waiting areas provide charging stations and/or power outlets. Free Wi-Fi is also available to all passengers.

If you have time to spare, many shopping and dining options can be found throughout the terminals.

Check the airlines page to confirm that you’re at the correct terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.  If you need to change terminals, hop on the Terminal to Terminal Shuttle located in the Ground Transportation Centers.
