DETROIT (Sept. 7, 2016) – Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is once again inviting the community to share ideas and provide feedback on DTW’s Master Plan. The Public Information Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at the Wayne County Community College District Downriver Campus. The meeting will follow an open house format, allowing the community to stop by anytime between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to speak with airport subject matter experts.

The development of updates to the Master Plan is a collaborative effort involving public officials, residents, airlines, local businesses and other stakeholders to effectively address the needs of the airport’s passengers, business partners and communities over the next 20 years. The result will be a comprehensive plan that will guide future development of airport facilities and infrastructure.

“The elements of the Master Plan can have a positive local economic impact, including new jobs and increased investment in our region,” said Airport Authority CEO Thomas Naughton.

“The public’s input is critical to this update process because their comments can shape decisions we make about everything from parking options to the layout of the terminals,” said Airport Authority Vice President of Planning and Strategy Management Wayne Sieloff. “Our goal is to make sure our customers and neighbors understand and participate in the entire planning process.”
