Per Emergency Order: Face Coverings Required Unless Exempt; Entry to Airport May Be Denied

Updated on October 16, 2020

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has issued an Emergency Order that prohibits businesses from admitting anyone without masks, with limited exceptions. Please arrive at the airport wearing a face covering to avoid delays or being denied entry. DTW has free face coverings available in dispensers in the Ticket Lobby of the McNamara Terminal and North Terminal.

There are some exceptions to the face covering requirement, including those who cannot medically tolerate coverings and small children.
