Motorists coming to the airport to pick up friends or family members can now wait for their passengers inside their vehicles in the airport’s new cell phone lane. Detroit Metro Airport has joined several airports around the country in setting aside a specially designated cell phone waiting area for greeters. The cell phone lane is located on the Arrivals level of inbound Rogell, across from the Big Blue Deck. It can accommodate up to 30 vehicles and eliminates the need for motorists to circle the airport while waiting for their party to exit the terminal.
