For the second year in a row, two teams of Wayne County Airport Authority management employees volunteered vacation time to work on a Habitat for Humanity project in Detroit.
On August 2 and August 16, a total of 28 members of our management team helped with installing siding, concrete porch steps, painting and building in the Tri-Centennial Village Community of new Habitat homes.
Habitat Detroit says they provide a "hand up" not a "hand out" to families in need. Habitat for Humanity is my favorite community cause, and I am proud of our airport team for helping. To learn more about this wonderful organization visit www.habitatdetroit.org
