The Wayne County Airport Authority, in partnership with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has the Residential Sound Insulation Program for residents in the highest noise-impacted areas surrounding the airport. A Noise Contour Map has been generated to determine what homes may qualify to be a part of this free Program. The goal of the Program is to reduce aircraft-related noise levels inside your home by installing sound insulated doors and windows. If your home is located within the outer most contour, you may be eligible for participation in the program. Listed below is information that will help aid you through the Residential Sound Insulation process as well as answer any questions that you may have.

The deadline for all applications for participation in the program is May 31, 2006.
No applications will be accepted after that time.

Newsletter – Every Spring and Fall an informational Newsletter has been mailed to all residents who are eligible for the program. It includes information about maintenance tips for newly sound insulated homes, answers to frequently asked questions, homeowner testimonials and much more.
