1. How will I know if I am eligible for The Wayne County Airport Authority Noise Compatibility Program?
A. You will be notified of your eligibility through the mail.
2. When will construction start on my home?
A. You will receive written notification of the anticipated date construction will start at your home, about six- to 10-weeks after a "measurement walk-through visit." To allow you time to make necessary preparations, confirmation will be given by telephone within 48 hours of the actual day construction begins.
3. Can the homeowner keep any of the items being replaced in the home (i.e. furnace, windows, doors, etc...)?
A. Yes, the homeowner may keep any materials replaced in the home.
4. When will the homeowner be notified before the start of construction?
A. The homeowner will be notified two (2) weeks prior to the start of construction
5. How are the contractors selected?
A. The lowest qualified bidder will be selected to complete a bid pack. A bid pack typically contains between 50 - 75 homes.
6. How do I sign up for the program?
A. The Wayne County Airport Authority will contact homeowners when the program is ready to start processing sign-ups in their neighborhood.
7. Is there a warranty for any of the products installed in my home?
A. Yes. The contractor will issue all warranty information to the homeowner at the end of construction. The homeowner has a one-year warranty with the contractor for workmanship. All of the products installed in your home have a manufacturers warranty.
