2022 Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report

The Wayne County Airport Authority is pleased to release its 2022 Consumer Confidence Report on Water Quality, which demonstrates that the airport has again surpassed water quality standards as mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). This report details the sources of airport drinking water, lists the results of water tests, and contains important information about water health.

The Airport Authority's water has consistently met or exceeded all federal and state requirements for regulated contaminants. The Airport Authority manages one of the largest privately-owned and operated water distribution systems in the United States, supplying between 750,000 to 1.2 million gallons of water per day for uses including aircraft de-icing, climate control, terminal concessions and general consumption.
