Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program
 
Eligibility Requirements
 
Businesses meeting the following criteria may be eligible for certification as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) for purposes of the Airport Authority’s Small Business Enterprise Program:
 

    A. Business headquarters or principal place of business is located within one of the following Michigan counties:
         Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, or Wayne; and

    B. Average gross annual receipts over the most recent three-year period did not exceed five million dollars ($5,000,000)
        for construction contractors or three million dollars ($3,000,000) for providers of other goods and
        services; and

    C. Has been in business for a minimum of one (1) year; and

    D. Firm must complete an Airport Authority SBE Certification Application and submit all required supporting
        documentation.

 
Supporting documentation includes:
  • Proof of business location within one of the Michigan counties designated above, such as a copy of a deed or lease agreement.
  • Copies of signed Tax Returns (gross receipts) for the three (3) most recent years. If applicant has been in business for less than three (3) years, all available information must be provided.
