Fraud & Ethics Hotline
A Fraud & Ethics Hotline enhances awareness regarding the prevention and detection of fraud, waste or other abusive or unethical activities.
With the establishment of the Fraud & Ethics Hotline, the Wayne County Airport Authority (Authority), which is responsible for the operations
of Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and Willow Run Airport, is taking a proactive stance against suspected fraud, waste, abuse,
illegal and/or unethical activity. The hotline is a means for employees, contractors, vendors and the general public to report any of the
above activity in connection with the Authority operations.
|
| Why should I use the Hotline? |
The Authority is committed to the highest level of integrity in its operations and it is fully committed to protecting the organization, its
operations, and its assets against fraud, waste and abuse. If you suspect fraud, waste or abuse of Authority resources, or if you suspect

| What happens when I use the Hotline? |
If you call the toll-free number provided above (1-888-888-8FIX),
you will have the option of leaving a message that will be directed to a Corporate Combat representative.
If you wish to talk to a live Corporate Combat representative, you may call
(1-800-825-5572). The representative will talk with you about your
concerns and determine the appropriate steps. If you opt to call and talk to a representative, you will be asked to provide a unique Location Code listed below and also listed on bulletin boards and posters available throughout the Airport offices and terminals. When you call, you will
be asked to create a personal code or case number that you must record in a manner that you can use to reference if you need to call back to follow
up on a report you made. This is not the same as the Location Code you provided initially. This is “your” special personal code or case number!
The representative will use your code or case number for future reference and to provide updates on your report. Remember, for security reasons,
you will need your personal code or case number to receive an update on your report. Your personal code or case number is not to be shared. This
process will enable the Authority to investigate your concern or complaint. Keep in mind, however, that not all information may be legally or
ethically shared since your report may result in an investigation that includes, or divulges, private or sensitive data that was not part of the
initial report. This is to protect the privacy and safety of others.
If you visit OneHotline.com, you will be instructed to enter the unique Location Code listed below and also listed on bulletin boards and posters
available throughout the Airport offices and terminals. You will be able to anonymously report whatever you are concerned about. The process is
very simple and straightforward.
If you have questions on how to use the OneHotline.com method of reporting, you may call the toll-free number 1-800-825-5572 (1-800-TALK-LPC)
mentioned above and a Corporate Combat representative will be happy to assist you in answering your questions.
This alternate number is to allow you to TALK
Live-Privately-Confidentially
(TALK-LPC).

| How does the Authority learn about my complaint? |
Corporate Combat’s system allows it to create private report files in a secure Case Management System. This is performed in near real-time
so the Authority can respond very quickly to your concern or complaint. For example, when you file a report at
OneHotline.com, your report
is sent at the same speed as an email, which is near instant. An alert is sent to the appropriate Authority recipient who will work with
Corporate Combat in a resolution process. Your identity is completely anonymous. Nobody (either at Corporate
Combat or the Authority) will be able to trace or discover your identity or the
source of the information you provide anonymously.
|

| What happens to my complaint? |
The Authority will conduct a thorough analysis of the complaint it receives via Corporate Combat.
Based on the analysis, if an investigation is undertaken and if the allegation of fraud, waste or abuse is substantiated,
a report is issued and corrective action is recommended to rectify the cause or control weaknesses that allowed it to occur.
Authority management is required to take corrective action on all recommendations to improve controls over situations where fraud,
waste or abuse has occurred.
