DETROIT – November 5, 2022 – Ultra-low fare carrier Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: ULCC) launched nonstop service today from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and Tampa International Airport (TPA). With the new service, Frontier serves a total of seven nonstop destinations from DTW. To celebrate, America’s Greenest Airline is offering fares as low as $69.*

“We’re excited to add these popular destinations to our expanding roster of flights at DTW,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. “Tampa and Phoenix are among the most popular vacation destinations in America, and Frontier’s ‘Low Fares Done Right’ will allow even more Detroit-area consumers to soak up some sunshine this winter.”

“As the airline industry continues to recover from the pandemic, we’re pleased to see Frontier expanding service at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport,” said Chad Newton, Wayne County Airport Authority CEO. “Starting this month, travelers will have more opportunities to experience the warmth of Tampa and Phoenix thanks to Frontier. Of course, we hope customers will also visit Detroit to see all our region has to offer from arts and entertainment to outdoor activities.”

Frontier is focused on more than low fares. The carrier offers customers the ability to customize travel to their needs and budget. For example, customers can purchase options a la carte or in one low-priced bundle called the WORKS. This bundle includes refundability, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, the best available seat, waived change fees, and priority boarding.

The airline’s frequent flyer program, FRONTIER Miles, lets members enjoy many benefits as well as the ability to attain Elite status. Like the airline, FRONTIER Miles is family friendly and the program makes it easy for families to enjoy the rewards together, including family pooling of miles. FRONTIER Miles is aptly named because you earn one mile for every mile flown – no funny formulas at Frontier. Whether customers travel a little or a lot, they will find FRONTIER Miles rewarding.
