Detroit Metropolitan Airport's (DTW) terminals feature moving walkways to ease the journey to your departure gate. In McNamara Terminal, Concourse A, the ExpressTram whizzes travelers along the mile-long concourse between three conveniently-located stations.
For customers who require additional assistance moving about the terminals, all airlines serving DTW provide wheelchair assistance. Be sure to advise your airline in advance that wheelchair assistance may be required so that they can adequately prepare for your visit.
Wheelchair assistance is available for getting from the gate to the baggage claim area and to the curb. Curbside loading and unloading areas for passengers and baggage are available at the arrival level of each terminal. However, vehicles are not allowed to stand (not actively loading or unloading) or wait at the curbs. Unattended vehicles will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
